Storing and Organizing Small Toys
By Trisha Novotny
Card collections, toy accessories and parts, puzzles and game pieces always seem to either get lost or scattered throughout the house. Below are a few ideas on how to contain and store your children’s belongings and ensure your home stays organized and manageable.
- Tackle boxes: These boxes make great holders for small toys and game pieces. The separate compartments keep everything organized and make finding things very easy. Plus, tackle boxes are great to bring along when traveling!
- Over-the-door organizers: The individual pockets of a shoe organizer are perfect for storing toys scattered throughout your house. The pockets help keep toys, and any accessories, off the floor and in one central location.
- Storage bins: Use Ziploc® Brand Flexible Totes for under the bed storage to corral toys that aren’t used as often. Storing them under the bed allows easy access to your kids while ensuing each toy has a specific spot.
- Pencil pouches / boxes: Use pencil boxes, or Ziploc® Brand Containers with the Smart Snap® Seal, for storing game pieces, playing cards, trinkets, card collections and other small treasures that your children need to organize. These boxes can easily be stacked and personalized with craft paper or favorite stickers for a unique touch.
- Cleaning caddies: Not only are these great for storing small toys and collections, but they are also easy to transport around the house! Amazon has a great selection .
