Will Keanu Reeves Return in Sequel Series?

Lionsgate is all set to add a new addition to the popular franchise John Wick. The spin-off series is titled John Wick: Under the High Table. As the news is spreading like wildfire, fans are curious to know if the franchise’s leading man Keanu Reeves will return to reprise his iconic role or not.

Here is everything you need to know about the development of the action series.

Will Keanu Reeves return as John Wick in Under the High Table sequel show?

Sadly, Keanu Reeves will not be returning as John Wick in the Under the High Table sequel series.

However, the good news is that Reeves is attached to the series as one of the executive producers, as per Deadline. Additionally, the director of the John Wick movies, Chad Stahelski, will take the director’s chair again with this series. Stahelski will be directing the pilot episode as well. On the other hand, Robert Levine, co-creator of The Old Man will be writing the show. Levine is the showrunner and also the executive producer of the series alongside Reeves, Stahelski, Erica Lee, and Basil Iwanyk, the report added.

Under the High Table will follow the events of John Wick: Chapter 4. The plot revolves around the High Table’s turmoil. There will be new characters aiming for power while the old faces will stay true to the old order. This idea seems similar to the John Wick prequel and successful limited series The Continental: From the World of John Wick. Under the High Table will serve as a fresh and intriguing push for the John Wick universe in the new era.

The current set of events indicates a bright future for the John Wick franchise. Fans are also looking forward to the fifth John Wick film which is currently in development. However, the new series will reportedly not be connected with the fifth chapter. Additionally, there is a spin-off film, Ballerina, coming up to explore the period between the third and fourth installments. So, it looks like John Wick fans have some exciting days ahead.
