Duchess Meghan rewears Carolina Herrera gown for surprise red carpet appearance
Duchess Meghan Markle, who wore a Carolina Herrera gown to the gala, seemed to glow as she walked the green carpet at the JW Marriott Los Angeles Live. The bright red gown featured a halter top with a plunging neckline. The skirt also had an additional high slit, giving the ensemble an elegant aura. She paired her outfit with simple accessories and red strappy heels.
Harper’s Bazaar reported that Duchess Megan Markle repurposed the outfit after her 2021 appearance with her husband Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, at the Intrepid Museum Salute to Freedom Gala. The dress attracted more attention this time as Markle let go of the detachable train in the gown to let the slit shine. The “Suits” actress also kept the accessories to a minimum, wearing diamond earrings, a gold Cartier Love bracelet, and rings. She donned simple makeup and let her hair down in soft waves with a middle part.
As per Elle, the Duchess of Sussex has worked with the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles before. In a red carpet interview, Markle shared her thoughts on the gala. She said the work done by the staff and people associated with the Children’s Hospital L.A. is “other worldly.” Markle added, “I think from my standpoint as a mother, no one wants to be in a position where you need to go to a place like this, but if you have to, the best place in the world you could go would be Children’s Hospital L.A.” She further expressed her gratitude to the hospital staff, calling them “incredible.”
Although Prince Harry reportedly did not attend the event, the Los Angeles gala featured prominent guests like Chuck Lorre, Jamie Lee Curtis, Kaley Cuoco, Jimmy Kimmel, Demi Lovato, and more.
