I bought myself one of these sleep masks recently and can vouch that this is the best sleep mask in the history of the universe. My bedroom is always light (as I have windows in the gables), so I never get to experience that full-on dark sleep environment. In the past, sleep masks would just annoy me – They would cut off my circulation and end up wrapped around my neck the next morning.

Well, not this one! The Pure Mulberry Silk Contour Sleep Mask from The Silk Lady (R645) is the actual bee’s knees! It fits perfectly and is super comfortable. It makes my sleep environment pitch black and my personal favourite is that 99.9% of the time, when I go to sleep with it on, I wake up the next morning and it is STILL ON!

I also really love supporting local brands, and the Silk Lady is one that uses high-quality materials with impeccable workmanship in all her products.

I also bought myself the matching Silk pillowcase and the Silk Turban because I was so impressed with the quality of the sleep mask.

Barebones Garden Scissors

Whether she likes to snip off her roses to beautify her home or gather herbs to flavour her dishes, every woman needs a pair of good quality garden scissors. No more using the kitchen knife, please!

When shopping for Garden Scissors you can get really cheap (and nasty ones) and really expensive ones, but I found these Barebones Garden Scissors from Yuppiechef (R539) are a really good quality pair that won’t break the bank.

They are made from heat treated stainless steel blades and have a quality walnut handle that makes them both durable and aesthetically pleasing.

I don’t personally own these scissors, as hubby bought me a pair of Japanese Forged Carbon Steel “Bonsai Scissors” last year for Christmas and I use them for all my snipping and trimming. If you are looking for serious gardening scissors, I would highly recommend the T-4N Bonsai Scissors by Toyama Hamono available from WazaShop for R1290. Expensive, yes, but worth every penny if you’re a serious gardener like me! Mine are always in my trug and used on the daily.

Lemon & Leaves Printed Apron

A good quality apron is a gift she will certainly appreciate, and this apron makes my heart sing! I am in love with the unique “Lemons and Leaves” print that can be printed on either 100% Linen (R975), Cotton (R550) or using a Cotton/Linen Blend (R750).

I’ve never been to Italy, but this apron, and this print specifically, give me all the Italiano vibes. Imagine if that inspo could weave its way into my cooking and I could cook with that Italian flair! Bellisimo!

The Lemons and Leaves apron from La Perle is, of course, my favourite print, but they do have other really stunning and unique styles to choose from. Some of the designs even look like paintings! I am sure you will find a design that captures the essence of the person you are shopping for.

This is the niftiest invention ever made and I think every driver needs to have one of these handy helpers onboard their vehicle. Needing a jump start is a fear so many drivers face, especially if you are ever stranded out in the middle of nowhere, hoping and praying that decent human being drives by to give you a boost. Even then, asking for a jump start is a daunting experience.

My Jump Kit has saved me countless times. Especially during lock down, when my car would stand for days unused and then I’d go to the shop only to need a jump start when I wanted to leave. Setting this little guy up is quick and easy and I never drive my car without my Jump onboard.

Lymph Drainage Body Gua Sha

Beauty tools are always good gift ideas if you’re shopping for a lady who is into her beauty routines. Beauty products, on the other hand, I find more challenging, because women like what they like and we all have our hits and our misses.

I recently bought myself an Olio Lymph Drainage Body Gua Sha from Takealot (R470) and it’s a good quality, large Gua Sha that comes beautifully packaged in a fabric drawstring bag. I bought mine specifically to help ease my tight calves and quads, and it works great to help me get my arnica or massage oil deeply massaged on my own.

Straw Hat

How cute is this Frayed Straw Hat from The Peace and Love Club (R199)? Made in Bali from raffia, this hat is the perfect companion this summer for days on the beach, days in the garden, days out enjoy Christmas markets and it even makes a stunning decor piece.

I’ve been looking for a hat like this for ages and this one stole my heart.
