Organizing Cords and Chargers – 24/7 Moms

We live in a world filled with many gadgets. From cell phones and laptops to digital cameras and tablets, each and every one seems to arrive with more cords and chargers to keep track of. We all need a system that will help us detangle the mess that cords and chargers can bring.

Here are four ideas that can help you organize your cords and chargers with ease:

1.) Door Shoe Storage: Use an over-the-door shoe storage unit and place all the cords and chargers for each gadget into its own pocket. Next, place a label on the pocket with the appropriate name of the gadget. This will make your chargers easy to find and help to keep you organized!

2.) Drawer Storage: Use an empty drawer in your kitchen, dresser or other furniture to create a gadget drawer. Use small storage containers for each gadget’s cord and charger and be sure to label as needed. The containers will help ensure each cord will stay organized and untangled.

3.) File Box Storage: A portable file box with a handle makes a great storage unit that can easily be stored in a closet and quickly moved when needed. Put each cord in a Ziploc® Brand Bag or wrapped in a rubber band for easier access.

4.) Binder-organization: You can quickly assemble a gadget organizer with the use of a 4-inch binder, a few Ziploc® Brand Slider Storage Bags with the Smart Zip® Seal in gallon or quart size, and a permanent marker. Use a three-hole punch to create holes at the bottom of each bag. Next, put each set of cords and chargers into a bag and label with the permanent marker. You can then store the binder out of the way on a shelf or bookcase. Consider pasting a decorative piece of paper or scrapbook page on the spine of the binder to complement your décor.
